| I just took my car into the dealership for an MOT, and in the conversation mentioned that on the way there I had noticed that the heater was blowing hot and cold even though it was on max heat. The temp gauge was in the middle on normal.
They just rang me to say that the problem is pressure build up in the cooling system due to an internal failure of the head gasket! Repair bill is £1600!
Not chuffed on a 5 year old 65000 mile car that I have had from new and only last serviced in December. BMW and the dealer have contributed towards the cost to bring it down to £979.
It is a FEB 04 build car. |
