| The updates AFAIK will do different things to different systems. It is for anything from the MINI system to the latest 7 series. For instance it will not apply a processor intensive option to a slower system As DaFlake said there may not be anything new for the early systems in which case effectively nothing will happen. Your sat nav will not do TMC and I suspect it will not manage perspective mode.
It is also possible you have burnt the image incorrectly.
