well the new units are deeper than the old ones so you have to cut away a lot of the internal plastic on the boot trim. then just prise off the old connectors from the old light bulb units and crimp on the new connectors that you will have to purchase with the lights.
i then bonded them in place with clear silicone sealent. they do fit flush and look awesome. i can supply and fit the
mod if you have a spare boot release section or want to send down your original one. pm me if so.
