I realise there must be parameters that parts are manufactured within having certain tolerances etc.. but there must also be a reason why they are not manufactured at 230 bhp & 260 lbs torque?

Please forgive my skepticisim

My previous car was a turbo diesel, i had it remapped by a very highly recommended company and the turbo blew up in under 15months costing me £1500, the tuner assured me it was perfectly safe

Hi

Because we have been tuning the R56 since its release in 2006, and had no issues with transmission, turbos or anything else for that matter.

With regards to your turbo diesel, either you had bad luck, or a bad tuner.

Lets now forget, a non tuned car can have a failed turbo so its not necessarily a link.

The manufacturers don't get it right I'm afraid, hence why an exhaust alone will free up a further 15 - 20hp on the R56... this is also reducing back pressure and therefore strain on the turbo too

Hope this helps
