Had a chip and left it for ages as my insurance at the time wouldn't repair chips!!
So made sure when my year was up I changed companies the new one covered it and got it done by autoglass I think. You can still see it, not as bad as before, but has it's strength back apparently!
My local Halfords often has a guy there doing it too. He'll do it for free if you covered, but if not think it was about £30.
