Water temperature for mini cooper

Thank you guys for the information. I was wondering why was my temperature gauge closer to 200 F or 90 C degrees. The gauge was pointing straight up (vertically upwards.) I was concerned because that was almost 3/4 of the way. I had the impression that the engine was overheating. Reading from the previous posts, I am now calm because it is just the chrono dial version that has the normal operating temperature at 3/4. I suppose that 90 C is a good water temperature as stated previously from others.
