Oversteer

Just took delivery of a brand new MC (done 96kms so far)
Was wet in Perth and I had the car oversteering at will at very moderate speeds. It has the standard 16 inch Goodyear runflats (can remember the actual type).
Is this usual or are my tyres crap ?
There is little or no understeer (which is incredible as my other car ... Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart has bulk understeer if you go in too hot) but then the tail steps out ... until the DSC intervenes (rather abruptly). All this happens on a trailing throttle at very moderate entry speeds which sounds like fun but is actually rather annoying. Does anyone have this problem ?
Cheers
