I seem to have a similar issue.
Bought a 54reg
MCS Cab with CD Boost and HK about a month ago.
The CD player seems to play the first time for about 10 mins without a problem. Great sound no jumping, just perfect.
Then, I guess once the unit gets hot, the tracks start jumping. You can hear the laser searching for ages (no sound at this point) and then I will get the 'CD Error' message on the screen and it normally jumps to radio.
I have tried running a cleaning CD through it but of course it did not play it for very long.
Is this a common thing then? Is it fixable?
I prefer the look of the standard h/u in the car especially due to possible compatibility issues with the HK and an aftermarket h/u.
