 TLC service- help!
Hi!
I'm new to this and new to services as prior to this car I only had an old fiesta worth £200.
Bought my Cooper S back in Feb from a Land Rover dealer who had took it as part exchange. It came with no handbook, worn tyres and had had more owners and miles than he had said it had.
Anyway, according to my TLC service book, the next service is due at 25,000 miles which I am coming up to, so I ring my Mini dealer and they asked when last service was- according to the book it was Feb 2007, so they say I am too late and will have to pay £240. When I switch the car on it says next service due in 3900 miles.
I've looked everywhere in the small print and can't see that it says has to be every 2 years. I'm fuming because I would've happily took it in as soon as I got it in Feb just for peace of mind if I'd known.
Can they do this?
