Hi princess i think the clips behind the mirror just need levering with a long straight head screwdriver.
put the mirror right down you can just see the clips behind.!!!!!
people say be careful bacause the clips can snap!! think theres 3or 4 clips??
I got some new chrome mirror caps off ebay think i payed £35 for them
make sure they tel you what year and model they fit coz when mine came they where 2nd gen ones now im stuck with them
and no returns!!
dnt know about taking the full mirror off though????
