| Josh makes it to the top of Mt. Washington CONWAY, N.H.—Hikers and bikers have scaled Mount Washington, the Northeast's highest mountain. This time, it was Josh the camel's turn.
The daring dromedary from Lempster, N.H., made the 7.6 mile uphill journey on the mountain's auto road to the summit, escorted by his owner and two companion horses.
He started his trek at about 3 a.m. Wednesday and arrived at the top at about 8:30 a.m., WMWV-FM reported.
Josh will rest up and pose for photos with summit visitors until the auto road closes for the day. Then, he'll make his way back down. |
