| Being in the industry / trade, I hear (and see) a lot of shoddy/careless/poor workmanship. Although I'm not surprised that a 'national' company has technicians who work to such shocking standards - and in this case there were two of them? (calling them technicians is giving them far too much credit).
Good to see there was finally a happy ending, but it should never have been left in such a state. Anyone in the trade that refers to a bonding agent (used to directly glaze glass to metal) as "putty" should be shot repeatedly with a potato bazooka.
