Slower than my normal S ... if the Drag Strip times and rolling road power outputs I have seen are anything to go by;

GP 15.4 my stock S 15.0
GP 218bhp my stock S with alta and milltek 180bhp ... with 15% pulley 212bhp ::

Kidding... TBH for the money you can tune an S a lot better than buying a GP. If you get a GP its not for the power or speed its for the looks and the resale or limited feel to the car. If you want fast reliable power then get tuning your S...if you want a GP trade your S.

Insurance on tuned S is easy if your average driver so no more difficult than finding for a GP. I am 29 with 4 years NCB and I pay £400 or so a year for my tuned approx 230bhp S and had no trouble in finding 2-3 similar quotes...and I have an accident and 3 points in last 5 years.

Sorry to be blunt but thats my view. GP is over priced and a little under powered for what BMW could have done. I'd have one in a flash mind you...but depending on what you really want from the change the GP might not be the answer, then again maybe it will be.

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!
