But my answer is 'Who Cares?!'
A bit naive but if i worried about stuff like this i'll never get any sleep!
And i don't think the BMW/Mini mechanics will really care unless a
mod causes damage to your car. They'll jus do the oil change etc. and fix anything they deem to be under warranty.
Best thing to do is get to know one or two of the mechanics!
