I noticed these threads discussing fluids for the R65 5 speed box .
I used to work for Castrol the
JCW site in Sussex ( now closed) was one of my accounts . The guys there told me an easier way to re fill the gearbox after draining especially if you dont have a ramp . Remove the air filter box ..bit fidley but okay .. re fill with correct volume through the reverse light switch on top of box .
I' ve changed mine about three times now . I am now running a 75w90 grade.. Mobilube 1 SHC .Thought it may make the shift heavy but no differece at all compared to the MTF 94 .Another option would be ' Morris Lubricants 'Lodexol FS 75w90 another very high perfomance product .
If the box fails with either of these two then you may as well give up !
