Wow, I can't believe Mini still haven't taken responsibility for this issue. My first Mini 51 Cooper had this happen 3 times. First time they replaced the looms as it was covered by extended warranty. Next time they charged me £200. The last time I got rid of the car.
I just couldn't keep forking out £200 for something that was obviously a fault. I wish I'd have known about this thread at the time.
