 CVT worry
My 2005 Cooper has run out of its factory warranty and because of the troubles reported by especially Nissan, I took out extended warranty for the powertrain @ $1,400 for 2 years. My car has just 45,000km on it and I love the CVT performance and gas mileage is great. The CVT took some getting used to but once one gets the hang of it is is really great. Hopefully I will be one of those who does not experience problems. I am encouraged by what I read here that only 2 with very high mileage have had failures out of what appears to be many responses. Maybe Mini will react positively to the Nissan news release and extend the CVT warranty to 10 years as they have. |
