United Kingdom Male View MCSCHB's Hyper Blue & Black 1st Gen MINI Cooper S Convertible Profile
United-Kingdom Sorted....fingers crossed

Well after 3 weeks picked up the car yesterday gave it a thrashing home with the roof down for 40 minutes, left the roof down until I went out an hour later left it down for another hour and a half, came home (these were the conditions in which it failed, then to my surprise and delight the roof worked wonderfully, carried out the same test today and all is still well.

I made sure I spoke to both the service manager and the workshop foreman before I left and got a full rundown on the work that had been carried out plus viewed all the paperwork (a good half inch wad!!) that had been raised as part of the investigative work. this all put my mind to rest that a thorough investigation had been carried out.

In addition I am the proud owner of an E-mail from the dealer confirming a £300 credit note for compensation (not time based), this is 50/50 between dealer and BMW RESULT!!! well that will pay for the first set of front tyres for the car about this time next year.

So alls well that ends well, maybe it does pay to stay with a dealer as several times over the past couple of days I have been told "your a good customer" and "how many cars have you had off us" even the garage foreman commented on our previous MINI convertable. So full marks to Lloyd Motors Cockermouth, Cumbria.

Fingers crossed, lets see what happens

Lets hope this is my last post on this thread
