mini engine fault

Same here have a mini one convertiable 2005 only done 33000 miles, had it diag said no 1 cylinder no compression, then took it to sytner who said £600.00 just to look !!!! then a report could be done to see if mini would contribute, i cant take that chance as i cant afford and now stuck with a car that doesnt work.MINI CHARGE £95 PER HOUR if new engine £5000.00!!!
