just a quick update on my previous post. the pump finally gave up about 4 weeks ago and i thought i would try my luck and contact the dealer we got the car from and after agreeing to pay for it to be plugged into the diagnostics machine they had the car off me and fixed it for free:-) we just had to pay for the power steering fluid. so bear this mind and dont be afraid to ask cause this was done on a 9 year old car with over 70k on the clocks and no service history since 2008 cheers mini.
