Under selection "2) Steptronic" the tranny auto-upshifts are executed at 6000rpm. The dyno showed power was not interrupted, even though it feels like it might be, it's just less torque than SD.

The in-car process for your critique: Setup for the corner in whatever "gear" the transmission gets to - typically still accelerating to the brake point. Roll in left foot braking. Downshift (forward taps) to the appropriate gear for the corner, right foot maintenance throttle position, Turn into the corner smoothly easing off the brake to "release" the car (since it's under brake and throttle). Apply throttle@detent (this establishes a "target speed" in the computer which we need to understand). Apex. The system "upshifts" down the straight at 6000rpm.

This technique is the most fun, and the most controlled in the corners.

I'm thinking it should be manually shifted at 5700rpm based on max-torque there (See Objective Testing for specifics: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...=&pagenumber=5)?
