| Test Drive of a MINI Cooper - What did I think

I will explain why.
BMW came to my work today to advertise there cars. They bought a MINI Cooper S with them but no MINI Cooper. I test drove the Cooper S for about 45 mins. The BMW salesman was such a nice guy telling me to "give it some welly" and was quite happy for me to drive the car quite hard. It was a great car, so fast and so much fun but there was things I didn't like about it, mainly the gear box.
I got out the car and thought, that was great fun can't wait to see what the Cooper is like. I went home and immediately rang my local dealer and ordered a test drive. I got there and after about 10 mins of talking we got in the car. The salesman drove out the forecourt and stopped for us to swap over. I got in the car, all excited - this is the moment I have been waiting for for months. The salesman took me on a route along 30mph roads and no joke I was driving the car for about 2-3 mins. I was gutted. I have been waiting for this moment for ages and this salesman ruined it by not letting me drive the car properly. Then to sum things up when I pulled up into the forecourt thinking "no way was that a test drive" he then said "so what do you think". HAHA. What a tit. I replied by saying I had a 45 min test drive in a MINI Cooper S this morning and loved that car but I didnt know what to think of the Cooper as I havn't driven it yet, well not what I would consider driving it. Well that was it. I got my stuff together and left the garage, I shall never return. I have just got off the phone to my next nearest dealer and I have a test drive next wednesday. I have explained to them that if they give me a 2 min drive I will buy the car elsewhere. I want a proper drive. Is that unreasonable ? I'm about to spend £14,000 on a MINI and the tit salesman in the other garage couldn't even be bothered to show me what the car can do. I should of asked him exactly what his job description says !
I really wanna know what to expect in comparision to the "S". I wanna know how the Cooper accelerates. I tried flooring the Cooper on my 2 min drive but i dont think i got about 3000 rpm. I felt a bit slow though but then again so did the "S" on low revs. I REALLY wanted to open it up and see how it revs. The first salesman (when I was driving the "S") was telling me that the Cooper also has great performance and a sweet engine. Shame I couldn't find out for myself.
Sorry about the long rant. Just annoys me so much.
