My Wife has just taken delivery of her CVT Cooper, and she LOVES it. She had a manual before, but wanted an automatic (I realise some people may not understand this). Get a test drive in one, its much smoother than most automatics I have driven.

I have always driven everywhere when we go out, now my wife grabs the keys first and wants to drive all the time.

If you want an automatic, get the Mini CVT, you wont be disappointed. There were some initial issues relating to the software version - but these appear to have been addressed now, so if you buy a new one, you will get the latest software.

And before anyone states the obvious, yes I KNOW it will use a little more juice, and I KNOW that performance on paper will be a little down on a manual cooper (but I could argue this in normal driving conditions). Thats the beauty of choice..... you do what is right for YOU !
