I've been browsing about these forums for a couple of months, but last week it finally happened and I got a MINI.

Alas, I took not well the day after picking up the car and have only been able to give it one short drive since
But so far I am impressed, did notice a slight rattle coming from the boot area though, not sure if its the parcel shelf flapping up and down a little bit? Anyone have any ideas on this, then I would be most grateful.
Also noticed that in the flaps at each side of the boot there were various bits like the tyre inflation kit. What is it thats in the right hand panel? Is that to do with the cd prep? Also there is a toolkit secured in the boot as well, maybe this is causing the rattle (it certainly takes up valuable space
I was going to go for the new Renault Megane Diesel but decided on the MINI because it was available quicker (no kidding!) and you get a sense of community from owning one - everyone seems to have a good word to say about it! I like the relaxed pace of a derv car and what with the Cruise control and six speed gearbox thats exactly what the MINI should give, but still provide some fun in the twisites!
Anyway, sorry to ramble on a bit, hopefully I will soon be able to get out and enjoy the car.
p.s. already got the MINI2 sticker on the back window, and like the heading says - this car is a BOY
