DIY dismantling door panel & elipse to repair dents

GREAT !!! Just 6 weeks since delivery & I've already got 3 dents in the drivers side door (LHD) from clumsy prats in supermarket carparks. One dent is about 5cm long, 15cm under the wing mirror... the other two are small "dimples" one above the other in the middle of the door panel, 'bout 25cm apart.

All the dents are quite light (perhaps only 1mm deep into the panel) and have not damaged the paintwork

I have some body tools for "beating" out the dents and have previously done bodywork on my MKII Mini Austin 1000, but as you'll appreciate the door on a MKII is uncomparable with the new MINI !!!

So, to get to the point .... has anybody dismantled their door panel/elipse yet ? What suprises will I have in store before getting access to the metal of the door panel ? And what are the risks of having a squeaky door afterwards, once everythings back in place ?

Thanks (& sorry if this subject has been covered before ... tried searching the threads)
