AC is quicker to clear misted windows but I've never had a problem with misty windows in my MINI yet.
Also I live in the east now (Borrheid boy originally so I know about rain
)which is a lot drier than Glasgow so maybe it would be worse there.
If I ever got the inside really wet it may be a different story after that though
