Thanks for the info guys! Don't really want a GPS "mouse" stuck in my car though...

Just want to leave the little bracket on the windscreen and slot in the jacket when I need to use sat-nav. No cables or anything then unless I need them.

I'm going to get a 2nd hand iPAQ 3970 I think (discontinued, but the only ones compatible with the Navman/iPAQ N.S. etc. now are like £400-£500!!), and get the iPAQ N.S. and test it to see how well it works.

I need a PDA anyway!
