I use a navman 3450 jacket with 3970 iPaq. It's mounted on a "downtube gooseneck" which puts the top of the antenna level with the l/h centre dash air vent............and is PERFECT !! Very quick TTFF, with good hot and cold lock, and as a general rule, never less than 5 satelites GO FOR IT !!
By the way, I bought the jacket "new" from the USA thru' Ebay. MUCH cheaper than here in the UK, but loaded it with UK maps from TomTom. P.S.Anyone want new Navman Eastern & Western USA maps, PM me
