| maxmini and johnboy are right, the power steering fan is sort of a red herring in this case. The power steering fan is apparently designed to cool the pump motor itself, and not the power steering fluid. So it seems that to avoid fluid overheating in extreme situations you would need an add-on power steering fluid cooler (a little radiator for the power steering fluid). |
