Nonsequitur,

I plan to purchase a Mini Cooper in the future. But I'm torn between the horsepower of the Cooper S and the CVT shifting offered with the Cooper base.

My primary use for the car is daily commuting (with a smile on my face). My morning commute is most often stop-and-go, while my evening commute is 50% stop-and-go, 50% not.

Ideally, i want the best of both worlds - power with an auto-tranny that allows me to click shift.

So i'm asking about the CVT to get a feel for it's functionality.
