Actually, that is the only way to change them...

You have to unscrew the plastic bumpers (might also need to remove some of the plastic wheel arches at the rear too - I have to verify this from my pictures (got them at work)...

The bumpers are fairly easy to remove - only 8-10 bolts at the front and perhaps 6-8 at the rear.. Front should take about 10 minutes to remove - the rear might take longer due to arches..

Anyway, one the bumpers are off (mind the wiring for the rear backing/reversing light and the temprerature gauge/probe in the airdam on the front) - break off the "studs" on the bumper-inserts from inside the bumpers and remove/cut open any glue that might hold it in place..

Fit the new bumper inserts and glue the "studs" inside the bumper with silicone or a glue-gun (you know the electric ones that melt the glue etc.)
