Mike also gave us some 'inside information' on the teams plans for the MINI Cooper S. First of all, for all our racing fans, next year we will be seeing the Cooper S on the track. Secondly, further to producing just over 200bhp, we can expect 0-60 times of around 6.2 seconds or less, and a top speed around 145mph from the forth coming MINI Cooper S Works, which has still to undergo intense endurance, hot and cold weather testing before being released, probably some time in
September 2002 for around
£3,000 to £3,500 on top of the Cooper S list price.
