Hot Brakes - Cracked Pads

Just a quick note to all track heads, who as I do myself, pit the mini against all wannabees on the track. Recently I replaced my brake pads all round with EBC Green Stuff pads, partly for grip and partly for a dust free existance. I must say however that I had no complaints to date of the stopping power of the OEM pads.
As I still had probably 75% pad left on the originals, I got the old pads back from the mechanic.
All 4 of the front pads had cracked substantially from heat.
I don't know if potentially they can fall apart after heavy cracking, but it is probably something all track users should check.
As I haven't had the new pads on all that long, so I can't really report as to performance, but I know these pads (and moreso others in the range) have very good heat resistance.
So if you're a track lover like me, its probably worth checking your pads.
Merry Christmas to all.
