I got just over 21k miles with my Azenis', and actually only stopped using them because I ruined one on a pothole (they were almost bald though).
I had an extra set of wheels so I didn't autocross them, my wife did for about 12 runs.
For a non-everyday driver, or a summer set, the tires are great. I wanted something different with a less stiff sidewall for the car and went with a 225/45R16 Toyo T1-S, and I'm very happy with them. But no, the Toyo would not be as good of an autocross tire.
