Doms right. I have only good things to say about Cotswold. My dealings have been mainly with Todd and the guys in the service dep.
When I bought my first MINI in 2001I travelled around a few MINI dealers, and they came across the most professional of them all. They also offered me a great price for my Mondeo ST24 at the time, but I ended up selling it to a mate!
They helped me out greatly when I came to rejecting my first MINI because of faults. They made the changeover from my first car to my new one as painless as possible in 2002, and it didn't cost me a penny!
I had to have a new gearbox fitted to my present MINI (because reverse and first gears had gone!) and they negotiated to have the driving lights and bonnet stripes fitted for free from BMW/MINI. That’s around £300 fitted of parts!
They lent me an "S" for a whole day's driving in Wales.
They lent me a Works Cooper (that they had to get from another dealer for me, by the way) for a whole day when I was thinking of buying a Works kit.
I was going to buy an aero-kit from them but I couldn't make my mind up whether I liked it or not, so the all-suffering Todd invited me down to have a look at a demo car they had just fitted one to. I decided against it. I told him that I might order a pair of "S" side skirts for my Cooper instead, as I thought they looked quite cool.
On the Monday of the following week, Todd phoned me at work to say that they had a new "S" demo car they were fitting an Aero kit to, and if I want them, I can have the "S" side skirts off it for free!!
I got a van from work at dinner time and I was down there like a shot! They even had a new set of clips in stock for fitting.
Personally I have found Cotswold's to be very good so far. Dealers can't get it right all the time, and we shouldn't start slagging our dealers when they do a slight cock-up now and again.
