Just do it carefully, so you can re-use the nuts on the new grille piece. You will also need to use a screwdriver to help pry the nuts off as you twist and pull with the pliers. It was a total pain in the butt. For the Aero grilles I had to twist the old nuts onto the new plastic pieces of the grille. It actually threaded the new plastic pieces as I screwed them on
