Hi all,

I currently run an old BMW 535i which is great in all respects except the fact that it does about 18mpg on average (around town its so scary I try not to think about it).

Any way, its got to go and I fancy something a litle more sporty (although he BM is good for at least 150mph!) but mostly its got to be cheaper to run.

My initial choice was a VW Corrado. Small, sporty, very quick but maybe expensive to run.

My other choice was a new MINI Cooper, but that would cost about £13000 rather than the £6000 or so that I had planned on a Corrado. On the other hand I would get air con and 3 years free servicing. The insurance would be a lot less too.

Help make up my mind.
