Almost all High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon Gas lamps are rated at the same 35 watts. That equates into roughly 3 times brigher than the brightest Halogen units. The differences lie in the dispersal pattern the manufacturer uses. Both will produce very similar output, in LUX, candles, whatever... You'd have to drive them to know what your preference for your driving style is.

I've never driven an Audi TT. The MINI's HID are low-beams, and were very effective. I noticed the most in my blizzard test drive. They cut through with minimal reflection, and a nice far-reaching but wide dispersal pattern. Also, no visible hot-spot, like you get with filament bulbs (the centre of a flashlight beam).
