On June 27th the All
British Race Day will be held at the Wakefield Park circuit for a day of classic motor racing, featuring the original Minis. The day offers a range of race events with a wide collection of classic British manufacturers racing classics such as MG's and Jaguar. Brad, on behalf of MINI Clubs, is currently negotiating a demonstration race featuring some of the new MINI COOPER S models to add to the day of activities.
Also on offer for those who want to show off their new MINI’s is a show and shine section. MINI Clubs will be allocated a position in the event so that members can present their cars in a group showing. Show and Shine Awards will be given out on the day in a number of different categories. Competition is going to be tough as a number of other Classic British Car Clubs will be showing off their pride’n’joys on the day.
The event organizer has also offered our members who arrive in their new MINI’s free entry to the event on the day. Only your passengers will be required to pay the entrance fee. Prices TBA.
Wakefield Park is a motor racing circuit located 10 km south of Goulburn in New South Wales on the Braidwood Road, approximately 2 hours drive from Sydney and less than 1 hour from Canberra. I’m proposing that the ACT and NSW chapters of the club meet at a location outside of Goulburn then convoy through the town centre then onto the event.
The club will be planning to bring its own BBQ and marquee on the day so we can all enjoy a great day of racing and have a good catch up with other club members.
