Yep. The tailgate is supposed to fully release but in the cases mentioned before what is happening is the gate is falling back into the latch.
See your dealer to rectify this.
A new type rear parcel shelf is now in production.
It incorporates a grille about 9 inches by 4 inches, set into the shelf mid-way.
This should allow a quicker influx of air into the storage area on remote release of the tailgate and reduce the risk of this problem occuring by preventing the tailgate from being "sucked" back into the latch. |
