I have been a user of Escort Radar products for many years (initially when they were called Cincinnatti Microvave). I currently have a Solo S2 and think its the best combination of sensitivity, quality, design and convieience. As it is battery powered, and comes with the winshield suction cups that attach to a little clip, it is easy to remove the detector (leaving the suction cups mounted on the windshield) and put the detector in the glove box. A radar detector seen from the outside is a very tempting target. The quality of the unit is second to none. The different alerts and frequency of the alert, depending on how close the radar is, enable you to determine where the radar is without taking your eyes off the road. Its not cheap, ist $329, but it had paid for itself over and over and over!
