I also collected my first ever speeding ticket in my "S", the date was one year ago. I have had a clean driving record since 1964. I was cited for 84 in a 70, only because I hit the brakes hard after the radar detector went off. My first violation in 40 years of driving. If I had to get a ticket, I would choose the MINI as the best way to do it.
Just this past week I got a love letter from my insurance company, they finally discovered that I had a moving violation. They will increase my rates, insult on top of injury! Somehow I don't think that this will be my last speeding ticket in the MINI.
