I guess you read the article from the CAR Magizine from UK...

Let me answer your question..
--It is Cooper S Works. BMW decide to ask Alpina for help,instead of John Coopers Garage. However, John Coopers Garage already working on the after market kit for Mini Cooper S.
As you read from the article, BMW decide to use 1.6 litre engine from Tritec after all instead of using their own engine.
