Phish is right:

"Amazing how some larger metro areas can have 4-6 dealerships within a relatively small distance, yet there are groups of entire STATES that don't have a dealership available. What are the people between Minneapolis and Seattle going to do if they want a car (or need it serviced!!)..
BMW/Mini is going to forced to train every BMW service center on how to service the cars, or else the cars won't sell (once the new wears off, of course).. What happens if I drive to Idaho, and my car dies.. I'm 700+ miles from the nearest dealership.. I'm surely not going to have to have it towed that far! "

FYI: Just because the US is big and has many miles of straight roads doesn't mean us yanks (I don't like that word: "yanks") don't no how to find the twisty alternative routes (I'd bet there is not one circle-tracker, drag racer or IRL(indy circle-track [predjudice] inexperienced - "look ma i'm racing - crunch" Racing League] junkie on this forum). No joking - my first planed trek is from Salem, OR. through the straights of western Washington (state) through the beautiful 70-95+ mph mountain curves between western Idaho and Helena Montana . . . . . Gee! Only 600 miles detour if I break-down at the closest point to the nearst MINI dealer. . . . . . and from what I've seen, the biggest Mini following in the US is in Portland OR. . . . . . . . . .
emcvay, care to comment?
I'm hoping that ALL BMW dealerships will eventually offer MINI service capability.
Maybe I should hold my tongue - - - BMW might surprise the US by offering a road-side rescue service like that in the UK. |
