Auto A/C will only go at max when its really, really hot outside, and the sun is fully shining. If your car interior wasn't at least 100 degrees (easy to get if you leave the car in a parking lot for a while) and the sun was shining (remember the sensor in the middle of the dash accounts for sun) I'm not surprised it didn't go to max at only 85 degrees ambient.
I'm not sure of the specific requirements to force it to maximum cool, but it seems to be working correctly, even if its not the way you think it should work, so you may be stuck putting it on low if you want max output. Its probably no more effort then using the manual a/c, so maybe you'll be more satisfied with its performance now. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
