halfords do a fairly good unit, that has a suction mount, it can be secured on the windscreen and using the flexi arm bent around to face the driver. it also has an adhesive disk which is semi permenant, the mount then sucks on to this disk. costs about £8 and is very versatile. best unit ive found so far!
