A few years ago (longer that I care to mention) I was speaking to a chap whose wife did not like him driving at 70 on the motorway and if he did whislt she was in the car she would turn the engine off (I believe it was a Humber if anyone out there can remember such things)- if the exhaust was hot enough the surplus petrol would ignite in the expansion box! Must have been quite interesting if you were driving behind him- only problem was that it blew the expansion box up and he had to buy several new ones. |
