OK, I am back from my mother in law's. I have posted as many pictures as MINI2 would allow. They are under "Gallery for Gobsmacked" I have filled it up. Although if you go to minicooperonline dot com look under Gallery Regional Events, go to page two and look under Northern California, you will see all the pictures. You can also click on the picture and ask for it to be printed or sent to the one that does photo's i you are interested.

I enjoyed meeting all of you and wish I was staying in the area and get to do some drives.

Let me add my thanks to Mrs. Gobsmacked :D for risking life and limb to get some of those shots! I haven't had much luck at posting photos on here, but I really think someone should add a few of those Lombard shots to Basil's "best MINI photos" thread. I personally really like the ones that feature the Red Cooper prominently, but I might be biased.:D

I had a really good time on Saterday meeting you all and the 3 trips down Lombard St. was alot of fun. The ride to Stinson Beach worked out good because we finally got to see the sun. Really looking forward to the October meet.

Beware Cooper owners, my gearbox "broke" (ala recall problem) going 80mph on 280S yesterday. Don't get me started with how upset I am with BMW of SF for not fixing it when I went in the previous week!

Yep, October 19th is still on. Going to do a "trial
run" of our route this weekend.

So far the plans are to meet at the Presido parade grounds,
head up Highway 1 to Olema & then cut over to Nicasio.

We will gather again at the cheese factory;which apparently
has a picnic area. After a picnic(??Please folks feel free
to posts ideas!!)we can head out Lucas Valley Road.

Lucas Valley Road has some very nice curves & is quite scenic.
Cuts thru some big redwoods, rolling hills & Skywalker Ranch.

By the way this route is part of the one MINIUSA used
for the US dealer training & press event.

I will try to post a map soon.

10 AM is the time I am proposing. That seems to give people
in Sacramento & the south bay enough time to get to SF.

The earlier we leave the less slow traffic we will encounter on Hwy. 1.

If that time DOES NOT work for someone please speak up.

I'll try to make it guys, not sure what is happening that weekend yet...and hmmm. I already hvae 4700 miles on my Mini, and I've only had it since July 11....perhaps I'm wearing it out!

If I remember correctly it is the large, open parking lot in front of the Officers' Club.

It is the large area bounded by Anza Street; Sheridan Avenue; Montgomery; and Lincoln Blvd. Have a look at one of the maps at:

Once you are inside the Presido follow the signs for the "MAIN POST". It is at Lincoln across from the U.S. Post office.

Actually we will meet right where it says MAIN POST on the Park map. See the link to the Park Map that Dr. Bob provided.
