Hey there, I really want to lower my Mini Cooper from 05. Now I am not sure what springs I shall use? Right now I am driving the 17" S-spoke but thinking about getting BK-Racing 299 in 215/35 R18 next summer. What would u recommend?? Brand and mm?

Just had mine lowered on Eibachs currently with 17'' S spokes - looks fantastic, ride quality is good too. Going for 18s soon so it should look brilliant!

Hi,

If you are considering the 18" wheels then i would recommend to go for 30mm drop as the safer option. Eibach make a good set of springs for that drop size and they are German based hence will be TUV approved.

If you are feeling more adventurous you could try KW (also German) they do a set with a 35mm drop. However you might have some clearance issues with those on.

Alternatively (and i say this all the time) try a set of coilovers from either of these manufacturers, you can control the ride height by adjusting the spring platforms.

it all depends on the offset, i think your wheels are an et45 an 7.5 wide so you might rub the arch slightly when dropped more, I can't see the extra 5mm making much diff tho tbh:confused:

i run 18's and kw springs no probs

If I make these modifications will it void any part of my warranty?:confused:
