Has anyone test driven a Cooper Works conversion? Is the John Cooper garage worth a visit?:)

Hi banana

It's worth checking out - the conversion gives it a little more poke and makes it sound a lot better! Costs a bit though...

A few of us went to the Works in April - some piccies availablehere (http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6210&highlight=jcw); although there's not agreat deal to see there, we had a good time inc a talk from Mike Cooper.

If it's not too far from where you are, it's quite a nice drive and there are some good roads down that way.

Cheers

Martyn organised a Cooper Works test drive at the MINI dealer in Northampton. Twas very nice, a bit more pokey, lovely exhaust note, but I wasn't a fan of the bodykit, far too wideboy nova for my liking!

Can't wait for the S Works :)

I drove it a few months ago, lovely, makes quite a bit of difference over the standard Cooper. Give them a ring and take it for a spin.

Cheers

Test drove a Works Cooper at the meet organised by Martyn. It does give the Cooper a bit more umph around 70mph to 80mph range, and sounded a bit more throaty too.

Since I do not like the S, I hope to get Works on my Cooper in 2-3 years time - assuming I can get this approved by Mr DK, or I may have to break my own piggy bank! :D :D :D

DK ;)

No - I emailed him a few days back about some other stuff, but no reply :( Normally means he's in Peterborough from what I can gather :)
